I am a network administrator who deals with BlackBerries all day. I manage three enterprise server and about 60 devices. I got this as a replacement for someone who insisted on staying with a Pearl.

First, it's not really refurbished. The package says "BlackBerry Mobile Device", without the RIM logo, which leads me to believe this package was printed elsewhere.

Second, it used to be T-Mobile branded. Not sure how they got the logo off the front of the phone (probably WD-40 or something), but the boot screen still shows the T-Mobile logo (the phone is unlocked, of course, and can work with any carrier.)

Third, the track wheel as well as the back button and some keys aren't working well; you need to put in a lot of effort in order to get them to perform the commands you want.

Returning it, regretting ever even falling for this. the "Sold by Amazon.com" threw me off.

I purchased this phone thinking that I was getting a good deal for my money. This was the first time I was purchasing a refurbished item and it will be the last. The phone appeared beat-up and old. If refurbished items are supposed to be reconstructed to factory standards well this did not happen. The phone stop working after several days. I am returning it today.

Product came in orig box, but w/o battery cover.

Lack of battery cover not noted in ad or on box.

Had to buy it seperately.

That was a dissapointment-is amazon pulling the covers and selling them seperately?
I received my phone without the rear cover of the battery and I have sent emails to the suplier and so far not helped me, I can not use the phone without the battery cover. I think this is a huge lack of respect for the customer.

Rating:
I have had it for about a week and love it so far. Takes great pics and has several nice features.

My Favorite feature: if your cell phone takes MicroSD cards then you can pop the card from the camera into your cell phone and upload pics to Facebook, text or email them right away. This is great if you have family/friends that aren't nearby and you want them to feel like they are.

Other great features:
The sketch mode is so cool, Very fun to play with. I played with the miniature mode as well but didn't have the right kind of shots to make it fun.
The LCD on the front is a Godsend for any Mom who has a thousand pics of her kids but none with her in them.
The camera is so small it's sure to be brought with you when you go out and not left at home...it is literally the size of my Smartphone.
Lots of options...2 basic settings for novices while the P mode there are options to play with if you're a little more daring.
Multi-shot option (in the P mode) is great for outdoors photos when you're hoping to catch 'that pitch' or a particular moment....love that it will take unlimited photos until you run out of card space!
Haven't played much with the video mode yet...kind of bummed that the highest fps is in the smallest resolution but happy that it saves in a usable format!

A few minor complaints/issues:
The rear screen is a bit hard to see in bright light (even with the auto brightness) but it's not a major issue for me...I'm used to a tilt screen in the back to combat this issue.
It doesn't come with a separate charger so you have to charge the batteries in the camera..I just bought an extra external charger.
The ports for the USB are proprietary so you can't just use any cord...kind of a bummer since they easily could have used the microUSB cables.
It doesn't come with cables to connect to the TV or HDMI so you'd have to purchase these (proprietary ends) if you wanted to use that feature.
The camera battery that it comes with is horribly underpowered and doesn't last hardly at all (not an issue if you get 2 batteries or a higher power battery).
The children mode has the flash disabled automatically...super bummer as most of my shots are indoors. You have to re-enable the flash each time you switch into this mode. It should auto-remember the flash setting or allow you to set it IMHO.
I wish that you could upload a different video for the children mode...there are some online videos you can change it with but if you could put your own video in there (like Elmo or whatever the child's favorite character is) that would be amazing.

Extras to purchase with the device:
There's an aftermarket battery (Zeikos) that is 1600 MAh that works great...the batteries for the TL225 (SLB-07A) do work in this camera so I'd suggest getting another battery.
I'd also suggest getting a class 6 MicroSD card for it as the access time is great and if you have kids you want to save the pic to the camera as quick as possible so you can catch the next photo.

Anyway, WONDERFUL product FOR THE MONEY and with a few minor tweaks it could be the best camera ever....that being said I'm glad I bought it and plan to update this review as I go.
The rear screen is a bit hard to see in bright light (even with the auto brightness) but it’s not a major issue for me…I’m used to a tilt screen in the back to combat this issue.

It doesn’t come with a separate charger so you have to charge the batteries in the camera..I just bought an extra external charger.

The ports for the USB are proprietary so you can’t just use any cord…kind of a bummer since they easily could have used the microUSB cables.

It doesn’t come with cables to connect to the TV or HDMI so you’d have to purchase these (proprietary ends) if you wanted to use that feature.

The camera battery that it comes with is horribly underpowered and doesn’t last hardly at all (not an issue if you get 2 batteries or a higher power battery).

The children mode has the flash disabled automatically…super bummer as most of my shots are indoors. You have to re-enable the flash each time you switch into this mode. It should auto-remember the flash setting or allow you to set it IMHO.

I wish that you could upload a different video for the children mode…there are some online videos you can change it with but if you could put your own video in there (like Elmo or whatever the child’s favorite character is) that would be amazing.

Extras to purchase with the device:

There’s an aftermarket battery (Zeikos) that is 1600 MAh that works great…the batteries for the TL225 (SLB-07A) do work in this camera so I’d suggest getting another battery.

I’d also suggest getting a class 6 MicroSD card for it as the access time is great and if you have kids you want to save the pic to the camera as quick as possible so you can catch the next photo.

Anyway, WONDERFUL product FOR THE MONEY and with a few minor tweaks it could be the best camera ever….that being said I’m glad I bought it and plan to update this review as I go.

Battery only lasts a few hours on standby. Runs down immediately when using the phone.

This is the 3rd "OEM" battery I bought via Amazon Marketplace -- as with the others, it was terrible. I ordered form the OEM shop a BR50. They sent a BR56 which is supposed to be even better with 3 hours talk time. It did not last 30 minutes after a complete overnight charge. Nowhere as long as the battery I am trying to replace which lasts over an hour instead of the original 2 1/2 hours.

OEM sent a counterfeit fake battery --- not OEM. How can you tell? Because Motorola OEM batteries are made in Japan. These say clearly that they are made in china. I had the same problem and returned the same battery from Wireless Phone Accessories and Batteries4Less.

AMAZON_- you should be screening these sellers and addressing these issues. There are a ton of posts under every single one of the Motorola Razr battery listing that say they got bad or counterfeit batteries.

Theses companies make their money by selling junk, counting on the Amazon customer not to feel it is worth the hassle to return it. For every one I have to return I lose an hour of my time. My time is worth more than th $10 I get ripped off for. But I do it anyway b/c hopefully at some point AMAZON is going to take responsibility for the conduct of their market sellers. AMAZON's new logo is to become the most customer centric company on earth. Well AMAZON, you can start here: Bargain Cell -- which is one of the worst offenders,
Wireless Phone Accessories and now
The OEM Shop -- what a joke for a name for the last one since clearly they KNOW they are selling counterfeit batteries.

I paid $30 for one from batteries4less hoping to get the real deal -- I got the exact same batter I got from the OEM shop -- the exact same counterfeit. So it has nothing to do with the price paid. Just dishonest online sellers.
