A cool feature of the Motorola Droid X smartphone is its multi-touch keyboard which basically enables the user to do cool stuff like press letters and shift simultaneously which in theory means you should be able to text faster. Well according to an article over on Engadget Mobile by Chris Ziegler, the Motorola Droid X isn’t going to keep that multi-touch keyboard to itself as apparently the guys over at XDA-developers have managed to do the business they are so good at and hack the Droid X multi-touch keyboard to the HTC EVO 4G

Yes folks this is to do with the iPhone 4 antenna problems , and it appears that according to a Ph.D in wireless network planning believes the iPhone 4 is “a fantastic device, but a lousy phone.” According to an article over on Gizmodo by Jesus Diaz, Richard Gaywood is a Ph.D in wireless network planning from Cardiff University and has put the latest Apple device through some tests which “analyse the network throughput of the device.” It’s all very technical and geekish with tests to see “how fast the iPhone 4 could transfer data measured in megabits per second under different conditions,” such as Flat on Hand, Covered Grip by using a cloth, and Care Grip. If you wish to check out the entire article head over to Gizmodo, but the upshot is Richard Gaywood reckons it doesn’t feel like a software issue and thinks, “There’s some deeper problem here.” According to the Gizmodo article the tests show that the iPhone 4 suffers from a design problem which affects the core functionality of the iPhone 4, receiving data and making calls

Yes well the new iPhone 4 is for all, and now the filthy rich can also have a special iPhone 4 to set them apart from us less financially blessed folk as those with the bank balance to suit can purchase the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition. An article over on Gizmodo by Gary reports that the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition is available from Stuart Hughes, and not only does the iPhone 4 come decorated with the sparkle of diamonds but also comes with an iPhone 4 case made out of ostrich feet. According to the Stuart Hughes website , the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition frame is surrounded by circa 6.5cts of VVS colour ‘F’ diamonds while the rear Apple logo is solid platinum and diamond, and the device is an iPhone 4 32GB version, but whether all those diamonds will sort the antenna problem we haven’t a clue.

It appears that the latest tech device out of the Apple tree, the iPhone 4 is experiencing some issues with that new antenna band that surrounds your new iPhone 4 with reports of dropped calls and no bars showing when touching the iPhone 4 antenna band. This iPhone 4 issue is brought to our attention by Jason Chen of Gizmodo as he has posted numerous reader videos of this issue with the iPhone 4, the first of which was found over on Macrumors and several readers have added their videos as well.

HTC EVO 4G Can Now Do 54fps Rather Than 30fps: Videos

As most are probably aware, HTC capped the HTC EVO 4G’s graphical output at 30fps, but as we all know, sooner or later someone is going to break that cap, and this has now been achieved with the HTC EVO 4G. According to Vlad Savov over on Engadget , the breaking of that 30fps cap on the HTC EVG 4G has been accomplished by none other than the guys over at XDA-developers , and what’s more we have a couple of videos as proof. Both of the HTC EVO 4G uncapped graphics videos last just 25 seconds giving only 50 seconds of viewing time and showing the HTC EVO 4G rolling along nicely at 54 fames per second and the other showing positive effects it has had on touch tracking, although there are still issues to get over before it is really smooth
