Having only just shelved the strike action ballot with BT , the Communication Workers Union has now rejected a pay offer by O2 of 2% with union members voting nine to one against accepting the pay deal. According to an article over on Mobile Today , the CWU consultative ballot, run by Electorial Reform Services, closed with 90 percent of voters rejecting the O2 offer with a turn out of 36 percent. Today is iPhone 4 Day, the day most iPhoners can go grab the latest device from the Apple camp, and if previous iPhone launches are anything to go by we can expect to see ling queues outside the shops, along with some disappointed customers if stocks run out. Apparently the iPhone 4 day queuing has already begun here in the UK as according to Martin Bryant of The Next Web , there are many iPhone 4 hopefuls standing outside shops waiting patiently for them to open, and in Manchester there were roughly 120 people standing in line outside the O2 store. While the Carphone Warehouse shops in Manchester has about ten people waiting outside most branches, while at the Apple store there were roughly 60 standing in line to no doubt pick up their pre-ordered iPhone 4

The O2 UK Stores will be opening tomorrow morning at 8:02am, wonder how many of you will be queuing much earlier. O2 are hoping for a great day tomorrow June 24 and can see stores being very busy indeed.
Well we knew Walmart was lined up to offer the new iPhone 4 as of launch day which is tomorrow over here in the UK but still a day away over in the States which means UK iPhone pre-orders could have been fulfilled before the US, so maybe that’s why Apple and AT&T are shipping the iPhone 4 a day early. Anyway, back to Walmart, according to an article over on Engadget by Vladislav Savov, they have received their first image of an iPhone 4 packaging on show in Walmart, which you can see in the image above. They do not though before anyone gets their hopes up of a Verizon CDMA iPhone 4, the CDMA coding seen on the box in the background is actually for the LG 290c which Walmart also offer.
It appears that O2 want to get a slightly early jump on the iPhone 4 when it is released on Thursday as O2 is planning on opening over half of its 400 stores early in anticipation of demand for the new device.
O2 is out to make existing customers happy with its limit on the new Apple iPhone 4 smartphone, because of high demand and limited stock it seems existing customers will get priority.
